MY REV (Copy)

Her Dark Legion is the final installment in the Messengers Chronicles. It’s a reverse harem paranormal sci-fi fantasy series with fae in space. From the start to the end, this series was an exciting journey filled with action, adventure, magic, and romance. I can’t believe that it was finally over.  I’m definitely going to miss this world and its complex characters. To avoid spoilers, please skip the summary part if you haven’t read the previous installment.

The story continues from where it was left off in the Prince Of Dreams. After king Oberon’s death, Eledan’s nightmare the hunt has been unleashed into the world devouring everything that comes in its way. Kesh and her crew are the only one who can stop this threat. To save the faerie, all the polestar fragments needs to be send back to its place to restore the balance. In the final battle between light and darkness, sacrifices are need to be made and Kesh had to make some difficult decisions that will change her fate.

I loved every character in this series but my favorites are Kesh, Talen, and Eledan. Kesh is a strong female protagonist and I really enjoyed her character development from the start of this series. Her connection with each member of the messenger crew was unique and admirable. She deeply cares for them and wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice herself to save them. Talen was absolutely amazing! He’s my second favorite character in this series. His calm and serene personality never fails to impress me. Eledan is my third favorite and definitely one of the most intriguing characters in this series. I’m sucker for anti heroes who’re both wicked and smart. He never fails to steal the spotlight. Kellee is another main character that I really like, but he was a little bit annoying in this book. Nonetheless, I still love him btw. Coming to Sota and Sirius, I really enjoyed them. Whereas Sota was fun, Sirius was quite the opposite. He’s a total brute with a soft side which he rarely shows.

The plot was engaging throughout and there’s no dull moment. From the first page, the book pulled me into this world, and I never wanted it to end. It’s an emotional roller-coaster ride. The twists and turns were unpredictable. The romance and the relationship between the characters was well built and well developed. Unlike other adult RH books, this one was mostly focused on the plot and less on the sexy parts. The writing was addicting. The book was written in multiple POV’s, as usual. The world building was amazing. It’s one of the best aspects of this series. We finally get to see the faerie in this book and I loved exploring their world and its magic.

Overall, it was a great conclusion to the series! There are so many sacrifices, but the last one totally broke my heart, I still can’t get over it. It’s sad that this series was finally over because I’m not ready to say goodbye to Kesh and her harem. The Messenger Chronicles is definitely one of the best Reverse Harem series I’ve ever read because I liked every installment in it.

Recommend it?
YES,
If you like Kickass Heroines, Anti-heroes, flawed complex characters, unique and twisted plots, Sexy fae, and lots of action and adventure.

I know not many people are comfortable with this genre, but if you ever want to give it a shot then definitely pick this series up. You won’t regret it!

It’s so interesting that this book didn’t focus much on the sexy parts since it was RH. I would have guessed the opposite! Great review!

I’m guessing that I’m one of the ones not comfortable with RH! Hahaha I never realized how extensively that extended to mean… I now know, thanks Raven and actually I’m so glad that this series finale didn’t disappoint you. So often the last book in the series isn’t as good as the journey to it. ❤️

I am happy this was a good conclusion for you! Yet I must confess that I am not a fan of reverse harem (goes hiding under a rock …)!

Lol! I can totally understand! I can handle reverse harem but I’m really not fan of threesome or foursame romances. I mean eww🤢

I put Shoot the Messenger on my Amazon purchase list a while back because of your amazing reviews from this whole series. When I’m brave enough to pick up a RH book, this will be the series I try out. I’m so happy to hear you loved how it ended, even if your heart got broken along the way, hugs! Thanks for the rec!
