Prince Poison is the first book in the New-Adult fantasy series Gods and Monsters. It’s a short length novella which left me wanting for more. I loved the concept, the setting, and the gods mythology. The heroine Valissa is a strong heroine with a deadly secret. It’s just the start of the series but I already fell in love with our anti-hero Prince Poison. I can't wait to jump into the next book. .

SYNOPSIS: Few knew Valissa’s secret but it already carried a death toll. One.
If the Gods ever discovered what she was, they would capture and flay her alive.
But in the land of Gods and Monsters, no secret stays hidden for long.
Lissa—drunk on the high of a midnight party that’s rife with mysterious pirates—gets too close to one of the pirates, who turns out to have secrets of his own.
Jasper is no pirate. He is a servent of the Gods. And the moment she touches him, she steals his power.
He kidnaps Lissa, and he’s taking her to one of the most brutal Gods in all the lands … He’s taking her to Prince Poison.
Prince Poison’s mere touch kills and his cruelty is said to stretch beyond even the darkest pits of Lissa’s soul. But when she’s standing in front of this fearsome God, ready to face her gruesome fate, the Prince might see more in her than she ever thought possible.
What could possibly be worse than dying at the hands of an evil God?
Becoming his obsession… .

“In the beginning, they’d rejoiced. Sons were always preferable. Sons were the lifeblood. The protectors. The warriors. The farmers. How foolish they’d all been.”

I’m a great fan of Amy Harmon’s books. After the bird and the sword, I was really looking forward to her next historical fantasy The First Girl Child which was based on Norse Mythology. The whole concept of this book was fascinating but honestly It didn’t captivate me as much as the Bird and the Sword. I’m not saying that I didn’t love it because It was really a beautiful read but the pace was a little bit slow for my taste. Otherwise I loved the characters, the setting, the concept, the rune magic, and the mythology.

SYNOPSIS:
Bayr of Saylok, bastard son of a powerful and jealous chieftain, is haunted by the curse once leveled by his dying mother. Bartered, abandoned, and rarely loved, she plagued the land with her words: From this day forward, there will be no daughters in Saylok.
Raised among the Keepers at Temple Hill, Bayr is gifted with inhuman strength. But he’s also blessed with an all-too-human heart that beats with one purpose: to protect Alba, the first girl child born in nearly two decades and the salvation for a country at risk.
Now the fate of Saylok lies with Alba and Bayr, whose bond grows deeper with every whisper of coming chaos. Charged with battling the enemies of their people, both within and without, Bayr is fueled further by the love of a girl who has defied the scourge of Saylok.
What Bayr and Alba don’t know is that they each threaten the king, a greedy man who built his throne on lies, murder, and betrayal. There is only one way to defend their land from the corruption that has overtaken it. By breaking the curse, they could defeat the king…but they could also destroy themselves.

Well Met is Jen Deluca’s debut standalone novel filled with romance, comedy, drama, and emotions. I had lots of fun reading this book. It seriously didn’t feel like a debut novel at all. The main characters were pretty fun and well developed. I loved the slow burn romance between them. If you’re looking for a good hate to love romance novel then you must give this a shot. It was so good. The whole Renaissance Faire setting was amazing.
------------------------------------------------------------
SYNOPSIS: Emily knew there would be strings attached when she relocated to the small town of Willow Creek, Maryland, for the summer to help her sister recover from an accident, but who could anticipate getting roped into volunteering for the local Renaissance Faire alongside her teenaged niece? Or that the irritating and inscrutable schoolteacher in charge of the volunteers would be so annoying that she finds it impossible to stop thinking about him?
The faire is Simon’s family legacy and from the start he makes clear he doesn’t have time for Emily’s lighthearted approach to life, her oddball Shakespeare conspiracy theories, or her endless suggestions for new acts to shake things up. Yet on the faire grounds he becomes a different person, flirting freely with Emily when she’s in her revealing wench’s costume. But is this attraction real, or just part of the characters they’re portraying? ----------------------------------------------------------------

This was a typical YA fantasy read but I still had fun reading it. It has a strong heroine who's disguised as a boy since birth. I'm actually into this type of books and I really liked it even though I had few issues. It has a medieval style setting and an interesting plot. I loved all the princes even though some of them were are arrogant jerks. Overall, it was a good start to a series and I can't wait for the next book. ( Full Review Is On My Blog!) .

Eighteen years later, Reid struggles to conceal the fact she’s actually a young woman. Every day, her secret becomes harder to keep. When one of Marsden’s princes sees her sparring with a sword, she is forced to accept his offer and lead her father’s soldiers to the border. Along the way, she discovers a covert organization within the army known as the Knights of the Realm. Well, this was an interesting sequel to Roar, but not the best. I honestly I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book but it wasn't bad either. I have mixed thoughts about the mc but the others are pretty good. The characters that I enjoyed the most were Cassian, Novaya, Jinx, and the stormlord. I also liked the new addition of characters which made this series more interesting. After two years, I loved getting back into this world of Pavan filled with Storm magic. There are witches, witch hunters, Stormlings, and a Stormlord who’s thirsty for revenge. The pace seemed a little slow but overall, I liked it. Can't wait for the next book!

The bridge Kingdom is the first book in Danielle L. Jensen’s new NA fantasy romance duology. I haven’t finished the author’s Malediction trilogy but I really liked her recent work titled Dark Shores. When I heard she was releasing another book with enemies to lovers trope, I couldn’t resist. This book isn’t an epic high fantasy that will blow your mind away, but it sure was an entertaining read. I liked both the characters in the book. The romance was great, the world building was unique, and the plot was decent enough. Overall, I liked it and can't wait for the next book.
