Monthly Wrap Up | March [2020]

Hello Everyone! Welcome back to my another monthly wrap up post!  March was a pretty awful month for people around the world. We’re currently living in a dystopian nightmare. I hope everyone is being safe while staying at home. Well coming to the reading part, March was a good reading month for me, but not all of them were hits. I’ve read 11 books, ten fantasy  and one contemporary book. I’m slowly catching up with my book reviews and I’m still behind on 25 books. And also my blog turned five this month and I thank all my fellow readers and blog followers for your support.

Book Of The Month

THE SIMPLE WILD (THE SIMPLE WILD#1)
BY K.A. TUCKER

This book was a major hit this month! A lot of people recommended it to me and I’m glad that I finally gave it a shot. It’s totally worth the hype! If you love slow burn romance and hate to love romance then you must give this a shot. It was sooo good!

BLURB: Calla Fletcher was two when her mother took her and fled the Alaskan wild, unable to handle the isolation of the extreme, rural lifestyle, leaving behind Calla’s father, Wren Fletcher, in the process. Calla never looked back, and at twenty-six, a busy life in Toronto is all she knows. But when her father reaches out to inform her that his days are numbered, Calla knows that it’s time to make the long trip back to the remote frontier town where she was born.

She braves the roaming wildlife, the odd daylight hours, the exorbitant prices, and even the occasional—dear God—outhouse, all for the chance to connect with her father: a man who, despite his many faults, she can’t help but care for. While she struggles to adjust to this new subarctic environment, Jonah—the quiet, brooding, and proud Alaskan pilot who keeps her father’s charter plane company operational—can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. And he’s clearly waiting with one hand on the throttle to fly this city girl back to where she belongs, convinced that she’s too pampered to handle the wild.

Jonah is probably right, but Calla is determined to prove him wrong. As time passes, she unexpectedly finds herself forming a bond with the burly pilot. As his undercurrent of disapproval dwindles, it’s replaced by friendship—or perhaps something deeper? But Calla is not in Alaska to stay and Jonah will never leave. It would be foolish of her to kindle a romance, to take the same path her parents tried—and failed at—years ago.

It’s a simple truth that turns out to be not so simple after all.

I am so happy that you loved KA Tucker’s book! Now what about Amelia Hutchins? Her last book left me deeply unhappy for another of her series so what did go wrong with this one?

Thank you, Sophie! The Simple Wild was a great read! I can’t wait to read the next book. I was really disappointed with Amelia’s release. It felt like reading a cheap erotica. It has good smut scenes, but the plot was dull.

I’ve already finished sara Wolf’s The Unfairfolk and I liked it, but I had issue with the writing style so I gave it a 3.5 stars. I hope you enjoyed Dawn in the Dusk! I can’t wait to read your review! The simple Wild was too good and a must read for all the romance lovers.
      Thank you! 🙂

Ha, it definitely feels like a dystopian novel right now. I’m glad you loved The Simple Wild! I re-read it in March, after reading the sequel. Here’s to a better April!
