SERPENT AND DOVE(SERPENT AND DOVE#1) BY SHELBY MAHURIN
I’ve started my year with this book and it ended up on my favorites shelf. It met all of my expectations and I had great time reading it. I absolutely loved the characters. If you like fantasy reads with slow burn romance and enemies to lovers trope then I highly recommend this book.
BLURB: Two years ago, Louise le Blanc fled her coven and took shelter in the city of Cesarine, forsaking all magic and living off whatever she could steal. There, witches like Lou are hunted. They are feared. And they are burned.
As a huntsman of the Church, Reid Diggory has lived his life by one principle: Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. But when Lou pulls a wicked stunt, the two are forced into an impossible situation—marriage.
Lou, unable to ignore her growing feelings, yet powerless to change what she is, must make a choice. And love makes fools of us all.
These sound and look like incredible books! I read 8 books in January and my favourite overall was probably Buried In My Past by Eva Mackenzie, I hope you have a great reading month in February ☺️
