Gemina (The Illuminae Files, #2)

This was so hard to answer because I was torn between ACOWAR and Gemina but I finally decided to go with Gemina. It was really an awesome sequel and I loved it even more than Illuminae. This book is a total perfection! I loved every aspect of this book especially the beautiful graphics and the wonderful characters. It is a must read for every YA Sci-fi lovers.

3.A NEW RELEASE THAT YOU HAVEN’T READ BUT REALLY WANT TO:

The Hundredth Queen (The Hundredth Queen, #1) Dating You / Hating You The Impossible Vastness of Us

I’ve been hearing great things about The Hundredth Queen so I really can’t wait to check it out.  I love hate-to-love romance tropes so when I saw Christina Lauren’s Dating you and Hating You, I immediately added it into my TBR. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a  Samantha Young’s book. The synopsis of The Impossible Vastness of Us  really intrigued me so I’m planning to read it soon.

4.MOST ANTICIPATED RELEASE FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE YEAR:

RoseBlood

RoseBlood By A.G. Howard: I loved the beautiful cover of this book but sadly, I was very disappointed with the execution of the story. I tried very hard to love it but wordy books with slow paced plots aren’t to my liking.

6.BIGGEST SURPRISE OF THE YEAR:

Nemesis By Brendan Reichs: This book really surprised me. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. This was quite a thrilling read that kept me on my toes through out.
Air And Ash By Alex Lidell: This is another book that took me by surprise. It is an underrated book that must be read by everyone who loves sea Adventures. I’ve already read the sequel to this book and I loved it too.

Well, I have two cute books for this one!

Eliza and Her Monsters  Adorkable

Eliza And Her Monsters By Francesca Zappia: I can’t say how much I loved this book! It was super cute and also pretty emotional. The main characters in this book are super adorable. I enjoyed the format of this book and also the sweet romance between Eliza and Wallace.
Adorkable By Cookie O’Gorman: I’m not a fan of best friends to lovers trope but I immensely enjoyed reading this book. It was definitely an adorkable read with adorkable characters and an adorkable romance. It kept a smile on my face through out.

Flame in the Mist (Flame in the Mist, #1)

Flame in the Mist is a wonderful read!  It’s one of my highly anticipated reads from my favorite author Renee Ahdieh. This book is set in a feudal japan and I loved how the author  described the lush setting with her beautiful writing which kept me hooked to the story till the end.

Wow! You have read so many books this year already, that’s seriously amazing. 🙂
I seriously want to read Eliza And Her Monsters, I have heard so many amazing things about that book plus it sounds like something I would love – even though I’m usually not the biggest fan of contemporaries. Great post, I really enjoyed reading your answers! 😀

Thank you! I think you’ll definitely enjoy Eliza and Her monsters! I mostly read fantasy books but when it comes to contemporaries I’m very picky. This was really cute and emotional read. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I hope you give this a shot! 🙂

Aww Letters to the Lost made me cry too. And Adorkable was just so beyond adorable! I’m hoping to read Till Death by JLA either this month or the next. I keep seeing my friends post 4&5 star reviews and they have nothing but positive things to say about it. Woohoo!

Letters to the Lost is an emotional roller coaster. It’s a beautiful book and now I can’t wait to read Rev’s story. It’s been a long time since I’ve picked up JLA’s book. I loved her other thrillers so I think I’m gonna love Till Death too. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it when you finally get to read it. I’ll look forward to hear your thoughts on it. 🙂

Thriller usually isn’t my genre anymore, so I haven’t read her other book in that genre (even though I’ve had it on my Kindle since release day lol). BUT I use to love that genre and need to get back into it and Till Death seemed like a good step in that direction. Here’s hoping we both love!

I adored the live action Beauty and the Beast film. I thought the casting was on point and the additional scenes added that layer of depth to it. Dare I say it but I might even prefer it to the animated one.
I absolutely LOVED The Deal. As New Adult book it was so refreshing to read one that was relatively angst free. It was so funny and it tick started my addiction to sport contemporary books.

I loved the casting of Beauty and the Beast too! Emma Watson makes a perfect Belle in the story. Now I can’t wait to watch Mulan’s Live Action. I hope Disney releases it soon.
I’m glad you loved The Deal! I’ve been hearing great things about that book and I can’t wait to check it out for myself. 🙂

Gemina was so crazy and mind-blowing, I have to admit it ahah, I loved it so much – even if sci-fi isn’t my favorite genre. I really want to read Eliza and Her Monsters, I’m so glad it’s in your favorites so far! 🙂 Also, you have read SO MANY BOOKS, how do you do it?!

I’m glad you loved Gemina as much as I did! That book was totally epic! I think the next book gonna be a blast and I can’t wait to read it. Oh, you’ll definitely love Eliza and Her Monsters!
Honestly, I don’t even know myself. I just love reading stories especially fantasy one’s. I’m a fast reader which helps me devour books faster and get into a new one. 🙂

I am so impatient as well, but scared. I mean, Gemina was crazy enough for me to FEAR what will happen next hahaha 🙂

Okay, it’s the first time I see your blog but I think we have the same tastes. I LOVED Caraval (this book is pure magic, I can never say it enough) and Flame in the Mist (I’ve seen lots of people being disappointed by it but how can you not like a book with Okami in it ?!!)
After reading this post I really want to read Eliza and her Monster, I’m very intrigued.

Caraval is totally captivating! I’m dying to read the next book because I can’t wait to finally meet the Legend. Flame In the Mist is one of the best books I’ve read this year. Okami is totally swoon worthy. Eliza and her monsters is a pretty adorable read. I hope you enjoy it if you decide to read it.

Whaaaaa – 97 books?!?!?! I’m soooo jealous – I’m behind big time on my good reads challenge, no thanks to university *sigh*.
I’m pretty sure my favorite book so far of 2017 has been Donna Tartt’s The Goldfinch… Have you read it? I literally recommend it to like EVERYONE – super descriptive and a span of 20 years is told in 800 pages! (super long, but worth the read!).
Caraval has been under my radar for quite some time, and given all the hype it’s been receiving lately, I definitely hope to start it soon!
I look forward to reading more from you in the future… Happy Reading. 🙂

I’m a fast reader but I’m quite surprised myself that I’ve read 100 books already. The Goldfinch does sound interesting but it isn’t really my cup of tea. Caraval is a pretty captivating read. I hope you enjoy it when you get to it.
Thanks for the visit and Happy Reading! 🙂
