Frost Like Night is a satisfying conclusion to this trilogy. It turns out to be much better than it’s previous book which Is a bit disappointing due to its slow pacing. Though I enjoyed reading this book, it doesn’t mean it was flawless either. Actually the story failed to excite me much but it does have all the adventure, action suspense and thrill that has kept my interest. I really liked that it was written in multiple POV’s and I think the first and the last book are the best books in this trilogy.

Angra is alive and Meira needs to be more stronger than before to fight his decay and finally defeat him. Her only hope lies on the secret chasm that holds the key to defeat angra’s decay. With the help of the leader of a mysterious order of paisley, she trains hard to control her powers. In order to defeat Angra and his dark magic, Meira needs to enter a labyrinth and pass all the challenges and finally make a biggest sacrifice of all.  Mather will do anything to save his queen. After reuniting with the children of the thaw, he needs to find Meira and confess his feelings for her but the raging war against angra is making her slip further away from his reach. After her brother’s death, Ceridwen is the last heir left to the Summer’s throne. She’ll do anything to save her kingdom and with the help of an unexpected ally and friends, Ceridwen joins the fight against Angra.  As Angra unleashes the Decay on the world, Meira, Mather, and Ceridwen must bring the kingdoms of Primoria together to fight against him…or lose everything.

With each book, Meira becomes more stronger and mature. I liked the character development of Meira in this book. She is brave and selfless character who made lots of hard decisions and sacrifices to save her people. Besides Meira, Mather has also grown strong. He is very loyal and protective towards his queen and he finally stops denying his feelings for her. Ceridwen is a kicksass character as always and I always liked her. I’m so glad she finally found her HEA. The romance is my least favorite thing in this book. With Theron out of the picture, Meira and Mather has finally realized their feelings towards each other. Honestly, I really don’t hate Mather but I’m always Team Theron and it’s pretty sad that Theron had fallen victim to the angra’s magic which turned him into a bad guy and I really think it’s totally not fair. I didn’t feel any chemistry between Meira and Mather and I’m glad that romance isn’t the major aspect of this book otherwise I would’ve given it a 3 star rating.

Except for the ending part, most of the plot is pretty predictable but it was definitely an engaging read. I just wish there are more twists in the plot cause they are really what makes me more excited. The pacing is good and the story was told in Meira, Mather and Ceridwen’s POV. I was a bit said that we don’t have Theron’s POV in this book cause he’s one of my favorite characters in this series. The world building is just amazing. As I already mentioned in my previous reviews, it’s the best aspect of this series.

Overall, it was a great finale with a nice ending! Although I had few issues with this book, I would definitely recommend this series to everyone. With the end of this trilogy, I’m quite excited to know what sara has in store for us next.

Recommend it?
Yes!
This series may not blow your mind but it was definitely a nice fantasy series that is worth a read.
