MY REVIEW:

It was adventurous, romantic and fascinating tale that will take you to an adventurous ride filled with mystery. Though it was released a long time ago I’ve never gave it much attention to this series but It was all changed because of Miss Houck’s new series named Reawakened which was recently published and  it sounded pretty much intriguing so I’ve decided to read  the tiger saga before getting to the reawakened series. Well, I didn’t have much expectations when I started reading it and it was much better than I’ve expected but still it wasn’t the best. Another reason for me to read this book was to meet the great tigers in this series who I’ve heard so much about them in the book community.I must agree, It really was a great read and I can see all the effort put by the author which was applaud worthy and I’ve really enjoyed reading it.

Kelsey was a likable character but she wasn’t mind blowing either. Her sarcastic and caring personality was what made me like her but she was bit annoying at sometimes. I think she was very brave to pat a circus tiger’s head but in actual reality it might be a stupid thing to do but I did enjoyed reading the interacting scenes of both Kelsey and the white tiger at the circus. Dhiren mostly called as Ren in this book was a charming character and I pretty much loved knowing him. He possess attractive personality and regal behavior that will definitely sweep girls off their feet. He not only protects kelsey but also respects her too. The chemistry between Kelsey and Ren was both sweet and Electrifyingly hot. As for Kishan, he was total opposite to Ren who was bold in nature, arrogant and always flirts with kelsey just to annoy Ren. Though he may project confident persona but inside he carries a huge guilt that still tears him out from the inside. I’ve liked both Dhiren and Kishan but I couldn’t say who I’ve liked the most because they are both charming in their own way and I’m very excited to know more about Kishan in the sequel.Another character that I liked knowing was Mr. Kadam who was loyal  and fatherly figure to Ren and Kishan.

The plot was really fantastic and it was truly amazing how the author linked it with the tiger’s curse and Durga’s prophecy. The Language used by Ren wasn’t modern Hindi at all, it sounded more like from the prehistoric times and a bit formal too but what do you expect from three hundred year old cursed tiger. The action in the Kishkindha was the part that I enjoyed reading the most where both Ren and Kelsey had to face some dangers in it just to get to their destination and the blood sucking water creatures named Kappas seemed a bit scary in it. The end wasn’t as I expected and it made me hate kelsey more for her stupid decision just because she suddenly realized her self low-esteem which  kinda ruined the end for me. Every thing in this plot was well detailed and descriptive but there are sometimes It became annoying when unnecessary parts were also explained in detail. The writing was so vivid and descriptive that you could visually imagine everything quite easily.

Overall, It was a pleasant read and I really liked  it.It was a great concept and now I know why there was so much hype about this series. I’m so glad that I’ve read this book and I hope the sequel would be more adventurous and action packed. Can’t wait to read the next in the series. I highly recommend this series to everyone who are into adventurous tale with a mix of romance.

I love white Tigers So I couldn’t help myself and had to share this Pic with you guys. Aren’t they looking cute? 😀

*hugs my Tiger* Is it bad I’m glad you were undecided?? I am in the beginning of my reread because I got distracted by other reads. I remember a lot of the beginning, so I’m slow plus it becomes worth it for me when Kishan comes into it ^_~

I just wish I was creative enough/ had more bookish friends here to have a real party for him. 3 yrs ago I got cupcakes and candles. I think it would be cute and fun though =)

I loved these books until the last one. It got a little too cheesy for me. But I love the setting and plot in these books. And I go back and forth with Ren and Kishan. It’s an ongoing tug of war like with Edward Cullen and Jacob from Twilight. I can’t wait to read Awakened!

I felt the same way too.I’m currently reading the tiger’s quest and the scenes of Kishan and Kelsey reminded me a lot of Jacob and Bella.I didn’t expected there would be a triangle in it after everything happened with yesubai but WTH history repeats and once again they fell for the same girl.Well, I can’t wait to read Awakened too I was dying to read that book. 😀

I love this series! This author gets a lot of hate though. People are saying that she’s racist and she’s messing up Indian culture and their religion. It makes me kinda sad.

You know what’s interesting? All the reviews claiming that the author is racist and offensive are not written by Indians haha! Oh I’ve already read the entire series. It’s one of my ultimate favorites actually. I just wanted to hear your opinion about the controversies surrounding this series, because you’re actually Indian 🙂

    Cute tigers, they look adorable!

Love the review, too. I just notice that the characters’ names – Dhiren, Kishan – aren’t common ones, and I like it!

I’m so glad you liked this! We FREAKING LOVE THIS AND IT WILL GET BETTER. Seriously, it will get better and better. I read this series 3 days straight. I would wake up read, eat a little and maybe pee (when it was absolutely necessary) and then sleep and repeat. No exaggeration that was my life while reading this lol Team Ren all the way! (though honestly I had a Kishan fall back so I understand the dilemma) Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the other books, Raven! ❤
