RELEASE DATE: August 4, 2015
AUTHOR: Ali Novak
GENRE: Young-Adult, Contemporary,   Romance.
PUBLISHER:  Sourcebooks Fire
SUMMARY:
“When I met Oliver Perry, I had no clue he was the lead singer for The Heartbreakers. And he had no idea that I was the only girl in the world who hated his music.”

Stella will do anything for her sick sister, Cara—even stand in line for an autographed Heartbreakers CD…for four hours. She’s totally winning best birthday gift this year. At least she met a cute boy with soft brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes while getting her caffeine fix. Too bad she’ll never see him again.

Except, Stella’s life has suddenly turned into a cheesy love song. Because Starbucks Boy is Oliver Perry – lead singer for the Heartbreakers. And even after she calls his music crap, Oliver still gives Stella his phone number. And whispers quotes from her favorite Disney movie in her ear. OMG, what is her life?

But how can Stella even think about being with Oliver — dating and laughing and pulling pranks with the band — when her sister could be dying of cancer?

MY REVIEW:

Here comes another cute contemporary romance besides the book “The Fill-In Boyfriend” that I’ve really liked so far this year. I received this book from Net galley in return for an honest review. I didn’t really think I would enjoy it as much as I expected it.It was really fun and entertaining read that you wouldn’t want to put it down. The author did great in portraying the family relationships, siblings love, love and friendship. This book’s got a Disney vibe to it you know.

I’ve really enjoyed the characters they were the best part of the story. The story was truly appealing and it will give you a heart warming feeling. The pacing of the story is not too slow or fast, but it was good enough that it’ll make you engaged to it and it wouldn’t make you bored anywhere.

The story was about Stella who’s sister is diagnosed with cancer. Stella and her other two siblings Cara and Drew are actually triplets. Stella was interested in Photography and she always wanted to become a famous photographer like her Idol. Cara is a huge fan of the Famous “The Heartbreakers” boy band and due to her illness she wasn’t able to go to any of their concerts. To make her happy Stella and Drew wanted to give her an autographed CD of the heartbreakers as a surprise gift for her upcoming birthday. Stella hates the music of the heartbreakers, and only because of her sister she plans to travel with her brother to chicago to attend the fan signing event of the Heartbreakers. At Starbucks she meets a cute guy named Oliver who seems interested in her photography skills or maybe be her and they have a quick chat and afterwards goes their own ways. When she finds out Oliver is actually the lead singer of the Heartbreakers she couldn’t believe herself and much to her surprise they are staying on the same hotel where she was staying with her brother Drew. She wouldn’t even dreamed that she would get acquainted with the famous band and also pulling pranks with them.

Stella is an amazing character who was really easy to get connected and what I liked the most  about her is her love for her sibling Cara.I felt for her when she felt torn between her happiness and her love for her sister who could die at anytime. I really liked the sibling love between Drew, Stella and Cara. All the other characters like Oliver, JJ, Alec, Xavier is the whole reason for it be so entertaining read. In all of the band members I liked Oliver & JJ the most you’ll know it why when you read it.

This book was so much fun, sweet, romantic and not to forget hilarious. Even though we can predict what’s gonna happen next I didn’t mind any of it cause it’s very much entertaining. It’s a wonderful plot and the romance between Stella and Oliver is both sweet and adorable.

The writing style is good better than average. The interaction between the characters are somewhat hilarious and the pranks too.Because it’s a wattpad  story some may think it was a fanfiction story but trust me it was more than that.At first I thought it was a stand-alone novel but to my surprise it’s gonna be a series and I’m really glad to know that cause I’m eager to know which band member gonna be in the next Installment I hope it’s JJ. Overall, It’s a light contemporary romance with a mix of humor that you would definitely love it and I highly recommend everyone to read it.

I’m so into contemporary YA romance right now! Sounds like a good book, and I love your book taste! Especially Infernal devices (Jem and Tessa number 1 on my ship list <3) and Vampire Academy.
