MY REVIEW:

Well, finally finished reading it, and all  I can say about this book is that it’s an entertaining read buuuut it isn’t like blew me away kind of read. The plot was simple and nice. At first I expected  this to be some kind of Road trip romance novel but it isn’t anything like that. I think the title suits the story well in a strange way  but it didn’t impressed me much but it is good enough to read.

The plot was slow paced until it came to the end, and this is my second book that I’ve read from the author. I’ve really liked her debut novel “Of Poseidon” a YA paranormal romance which I really enjoyed reading it, but I can’t say the same thing for this book. There are major cliché factors in it like rich boy likes poor girl and rich boy’s dad against their relationship or something like that. The book was narrated in both Carly and Arden’s POV for better understanding.

The characters ugh! I neither hate them nor love them. Carly is a character you can easily get connected and she is shy, hard working and quick witted. She and her brother Julio were trying really hard to earn money so they can bring back their parents who are deported to Mexico. She didn’t have any time in making friends or a boyfriend because she didn’t want any more problems or complications in her life. When Carly meets Arden for the first time she believed him to be arrogant and manhore and when she really got to know him, she realizes all her thoughts about him were wrong.

Arden is handsome, charming and fun loving guy who also used to be a star quarterback in the football team in the school. He is also son of the town’s sheriff who is total douche bag and also a bit racist. Arden was close with his sister who has passed away and he blames his dad for her death. Arden and Carly’s first meeting is hilariously strange. He wants her to be his sidekick in pranking and  when she rejects him he tries really hard  trying to convince her. With all the hard-core pestering and stalking from Arden she finally says yes to him.

The story is mostly about two teenage pranksters who wanted to live their life, without any care   in the world, by pulling pranks on the bad guys. I know playing pranks is funny but doing it every night like its some kind of job didn’t seemed right to me. There is one thing that I don’t agree with the Carly’s character I mean considering her situation, she was supposed to stay low but what she is doing is pulling pranks that is too much risky, and if caught may put her in jail.I must say that I did laughed a lot with their first prank it was truly hilarious. As for Arden I don’t know whether he is crazy or stupid cause he pulls a prank that was both risky and  stupid and he knows it but he still does  it and regrets later. So both characters are  insane in their own way but they just wanted to escape their life for a while and have fun even for a moment.

The book started as fun and slow paced but at the end, things got serious and exciting. Overall it was fun read, but if you are looking for a serious one then please avoid this. Do I recommend this book “I don’t know” but if you are looking for a quick fun read then go for it.

MY RATING:   4-stars14-stars14-stars1
