AUTHOR: Courtney Summers
GENRE: Young-Adult,Thriller,
Mystery,Contemporary
SUMMARY:The sheriff’s son, Kellan Turner, is not the golden boy everyone thinks he is, and Romy Grey knows that for a fact. Because no one wants to believe a girl from the wrong side of town, the truth about him has cost her everything—friends, family, and her community. Branded a liar and bullied relentlessly by a group of kids she used to hang out with, Romy’s only refuge is the diner where she works outside of town. No one knows her name or her past there; she can finally be anonymous. But when a girl with ties to both Romy and Kellan goes missing after a party, and news of him assaulting another girl in a town close by gets out, Romy must decide whether she wants to fight or carry the burden of knowing more girls could get hurt if she doesn’t speak up. Nobody believed her the first time—and they certainly won’t now — but the cost of her silence might be more than she can bear.

With a shocking conclusion and writing that will absolutely knock you out, All the Rage examines the shame and silence inflicted upon young women after an act of sexual violence, forcing us to ask ourselves: In a culture that refuses to protect its young girls, how can they survive?

MY REVIEW:   I really really wanted to enjoy it  much more with all the good reviews going on but it didn’t  satisfied me like i had expected. The blurb was just a past that happened  to Romy and the story was only a aftermath. The blurb was a total deceit and guess what we get to meet Kellan only once.It was really a emotional read  with all the raw emotions and feelings and hurt which are perfectly depicted.

The story was kinda disturbing and the female protagonist has a weird obsession with red lipstick and nail polish before getting ready to go out. There were so many girlish stuff and some few things which made them seem  unnecessary for the plot to me.There was a part in which there was a brief description on how Romy  applied a nail polish which seemed pretty funny to me.The story starts with Penny,Romy and Kellen in the club and after the rape incident the story jumps to the present day.Even though with  the injustice happened to Romy nobody believed her and instead she got bullied by the whole school in which she silently tolerated them with no complaints. with all the things happening to her i thought when she would reach the breaking point and let all her anger and rage lash out of her but unfortunately there wasn’t any thing like that i mean c’mon the book was titled “All The Rage”.

While reading this i thought how cruel that a high school can be and that police officer i just totally hated him who always sees Romy as some kind of trouble maker and treats her like she was some kind of waste.Romy always kept her feelings  to herself and didn’t even open up her feelings to her mom. There was little bit of romance where we get to meet Leon who is  a love interest of Romy and also my favorite character in the story, Romy hid her past from Leon so he could treat her like any other normal person but not with sympathy.Romy gets  tangled up in a incident where a girl named penny goes missing who is also a ex friend of Romy. I thought Romy would help finding the missing girl but she doesn’t do anything like that and acts like i don’t care. After knowing the reason for Penny’s tragedy she gets totally devastated  and finally decides to bring Kellan  to justice and the book ends just like that.I wish there was some more story like how she’s gonna bring Kellan to justice and prove her innocence.

The story was all about how Romy bravely endured all the torments and hatred from her class mates even though with  the injustice happened to her where nobody believed her and i would like it more if she proved them how wrong they all are.Enough with my babbling i saw so many people enjoyed  this book so  i would recommend every one to read it.
